Online Qigong
Wednesday mornings, live over Zoom
Why Qigong
Qigong is slow, structured movement paired with breath. It's not a workout and there's nothing to get right. It works directly with your nervous system, helping it come out of fight or flight and back into a calmer, steadier state.
I came to this practice myself after over a decade in corporate marketing left me burnt out and, at one point, unable to walk for three weeks. Qigong was part of what brought me back. Now I teach it because I know what it feels like on both sides, the wound up version and the grounded one.
What to expect
No equipment, no gym gear, no floor work. Just you, some space to stand, and a screen.
Cameras on if you'd like the connection of a shared class, off if you'd rather just practise. Either is completely fine, there's no pressure either way.
Each session is guided live, roughly 45 minutes, gentle movement, breathwork and stillness. Suitable whether qigong is brand new to you or already part of your week.
Pricing

Closing
If you've been curious about qigong but didn't know where to start, this is a low pressure way in. Come as you are, camera on or off, mat or none.
What to expect
You arrive, you settle, your baby settles with you. From there I follow what's needed - no fixed sequence, no clock-watching, no pressure to perform wellness. Just an hour of genuine care for you both.
Sessions are held at Salt Studios in East Twickenham, or in Kingston. Online sessions are also available for the breathwork and meditation elements.
60 minutes - £115
“I wasn’t sure what to expect so I went open minded and I am so glad I did. I felt listened to, held and safe to relax. It was also a beautiful bonding moment with my baby, even with the wiggles! Thank you.”
Your questions, answered
-
Yes - and honestly, this is one of the reasons Held exists. Traumatic or stressful births leave a mark on the body that isn't always addressed in standard postnatal care. Somatic and energy healing can be a really meaningful way to process what your body went through. Held works beautifully alongside any clinical or therapeutic support you're already receiving.
-
Please do. An unsettled baby is not a problem - it's just where we start. Sessions are fully adaptive, which means if your baby needs attention first, that's what we do first. There's nothing to manage or apologise for.
-
Not at all. Most people who come to Held have never tried anything like this before. You don't need to know anything or believe anything in particular - you just need to show up.
-
The main difference is that your baby is part of it. Sessions are also more adaptive than a standard 1:1 - rather than following a set structure, I work with what you and your baby need on that particular day. It's also specifically designed with the postnatal body in mind, so the modalities and the intention behind them are shaped around that experience.
-
Held is designed for the first nine months after birth. For the first few weeks I'd recommend checking in with your midwife or GP first, particularly if you've had a caesarean or any complications. After that, whenever you feel ready.
-
Just yourself and your baby. Bring whatever you'd normally need for them - nappies, a feed, a blanket or anything they find comforting. I'll take care of the rest.
Got a little one older than nine months?
If your baby has grown past this stage but you'd still love a healing session together, get in touch. Whether it's Reiki, sound healing or a gentle Qigong session - which little ones genuinely love - I'm happy to put something together that works for you both. Just reach out and we'll find something that fits.
