Frequently Asked Questions

About Make Soul Space

  • Make Soul Space was founded by Katy Wickings and offers body-based healing sessions and self-guided journals for people navigating emotional exhaustion, anxiety, grief, disconnection, or patterns they're ready to move through. All sessions are trauma-aware, consent-led, and paced entirely around you.

  • No. Make Soul Space sessions are not a replacement for therapy, medical care or mental health treatment. They're intended as complementary, body-based support that can sit alongside professional care if needed. If you're currently working with a therapist or mental health professional, please mention this when you enquire — it helps me hold the space most appropriately for you.

About the sessions

  • There are three main sessions plus dedicated modality sessions:

    • Intro Healing Session — 60 mins | £80 | A gentle starting point for nervous system regulation and grounding

    • Curated Healing Session — 2 hours | £165 | Fully personalised, drawing from Reiki, Qigong, breathwork, somatic movement and therapeutic yoga

    • Deep Somatic Release — 2 hours | £186 | For something specific you're ready to process and let go of

Dedicated sessions in Reiki, Qigong, Breathwork and Therapeutic Yoga are also available. You can explore all options on the Work With Me page.

  • You don't need to know. If you're unsure, the Curated Healing Session is designed exactly for that — you arrive as you are and the session finds its own shape around what you need that day. Alternatively, reach out and we can have a brief conversation about what feels right.

  • Not at all. Sessions are suitable for complete beginners and those already familiar with body-based or energy work alike. You simply need to show up — everything else is taken care of.

  • Yes. Sessions are gentle, unhurried and paced entirely to your comfort. There's no pressure to share more than feels right, and nothing will be forced or rushed. If you're feeling nervous, that's completely normal — we begin by simply helping your system settle.

  • Yes - and this is important. Not everything we carry comes from a difficult experience. Patterns like people pleasing, overgiving, emotional exhaustion or chronic anxiety can develop even from a happy life. If something feels stuck in your body, this session is for you — whatever you choose to call it.

  • All sessions are available online or in person. In-person sessions are held across Richmond, Teddington and Kingston. Group Qigong sessions run every Monday and Tuesday at Salt Studios, Richmond.

The journals

  • No. The prompts are invitational, not instructional. You're always in control of what you explore and when. If something doesn't feel right, skip it and come back.

  • Yes — many people do. Journals can be a gentle way to begin, and sessions can help you integrate what comes up more deeply. They work well together. We can discuss anything that comes up in our sessions also.
